31: Let's Talk Mental Health - Danielle Render Turmaud

My guest today is my friend Danielle Render Turmaud. She just finished her master's degree in clinical mental health counseling, and for the past 5 years she has been working with survivors of all kinds of trauma. She has gone to the red light districts of India to work with women and children, for the past year she has been counseling survivors of trauma at Grady Hospital, she will be teaching Psychology classes at Georgia Highlands College in the fall, and she is also a researcher regarding the subjects of trauma and women's studies.

Mental health is a big issue these days, and I think the topics that Danielle and I discussed are extremely important because many people view mental health in the wrong light. It's amazing to have people like Danielle who are such strong advocates for people dealing with trauma and mental illness who can help us better understand how to support our fellow men and women who are so often misunderstood.

If you want to contact her about counseling you can email her at drtcounseling@gmail.com and you can also find her on facebook as DRT Counseling. I'm sure she would also appreciate a 5 star review on her page, so if you enjoyed this conversation and want to give Danielle some props, go give her page a good review.
